Prince Ameen

   “This is Prince Ameen, this is the richest and most entertaining man in professional wrestling. I not only entertain, I also beat people,” said Prince Ameen who is a professional wrestler for sixteen years.

   After being a long time fan of Wrestling, Ameen thought it involved real fighting. However, he found out that it was not as real as he thought. “A lot of people fall out of love with wrestling (because it is not a real fight) but for me, it is like a magic trick,” he said. Quite curious about that “magic trick”, he wanted to know more about Wrestling and for that reason, he started practicing the sport in Newcastle. Ameen lives in Leeds and every week he travels to Newcastle just to wrestle.

   Even though he is a tough guy on the ring, Ameen is one of the funniest guys you will ever meet. He is the one who makes the group laugh before and after the shows, which helps the team to forget the nerves for a while. 

   He has participated in many professional Wrestling matches which are quite intense and dangerous. The injuries are a reality for every wrestler and he had suffered with it before. “The most dangerous thing that ever happened to me was when I dislocated my shoulder,” Prince Ameen said. “I just popped my shoulder back into place and finished the rest match. It was unbelievably painful", he added.

   Talking about the rituals before going on stage, to prevent injuries, there is one particular thing Prince Ameen always does for good luck -  lacing up his boots in a very special way. “ I can’t explain why I’ve done it, but every time I’ve done I have not been hurt,” he explained. Ameen starts lacing the left boot and then goes to the right one. After that , he finishes lacing the right boot and just goes to the left one at the end. “Also, I normally go out and do hundreds of squats before I go on Hindu squats, just to try to get ready for the wrestling game because it’s a very physical sport. So we have to train our body quite hard", he said.

   Although Prince Ameen suffered a lot of injuries in Wrestling, he said he never regrets what he has done. He loves his character which can entertain not only the fans but also cheer himself up. About the future, Ameen wants to keep investing in his career and he believes that with his unique personality and character, he can grow in the professional wrestling league.
